The Planning Department is responsible for the administration, review and processing of applications submitted under the Planning Act, and prepare various Agreements and By-laws. We administer the Official Plan, manage growth, and lead other policy initiatives.

Compliance Letters

A compliance letter is used to obtain information on building permits, building violations, property standards orders and Zoning By-law violations.

How do I request a compliance letter?

Please contact the Planning Department to request a Compliance Letter. When submitting your request kindly indicate the Requisition and Closing Dates which will help staff prioritize requests. A compliance letter request cannot be processed until payment has been received, please visit our User Fees page for details.
