- Issuing septic permits and the septic re-inspection program
- Enforcing the Ontario Building Code

Our services
Building permits
Building permits and inspections ensure that building projects comply with the Zoning By-law, The Ontario Building Code, along with health, safety, fire protection, accessibility and all other applicable law.
A permit is required for:
- Construction and Demolition
- Repairs to an existing sewage system or the installation of a new sewage system
- Change of Use
- Fences
- Signs (including portable signs)
- Pools; and
- Lot Grading

Refer to our User Fees page for building permit fees. Payment of a permit fee is due prior to the release of a building permit.
By-law enforcement
Bylaw Services is responsible for the enforcement of the following municipal by-laws:
- Zoning By-laws
- Bikes and Skateboards on Sidewalks
- Noise
- Parking
- Property Standards
- Refreshment Vehicles
- Dogs and Kennels
- Transient Traders or Peddlers
