Subject: Minden Hills Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place Season Opening
The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is pleased to announce that the Museum & Heritage Village and Nature’s Place will be open to the public for the season starting on Saturday, May 20th from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The Museum & Heritage Village featuring the Sterling Bank, Bowron House, SS#9 Stanhope School House, the “Wee Kirk” Bethel Church and the Cookhouse are ready for tours. Hands-on activities and demonstrations will be offered throughout the Village.
Nature’s Place offers exciting and interactive environmental exhibits for the whole family. Climb up into the beaver lodge or investigate one of the many animal skulls on display. The Master Herpetologist from Browning Reptiles with their exotically educational display of 12 amazing animals will be visiting in the afternoon from 1 to 3 PM.
Cross Cut, an exhibit by artist Rob Niezen, will be available for viewing in the Agnes Jamieson Gallery. The exhibit features 24 linocuts illustrating traditional folk songs from rural Ontario, reimagined in a contemporary context. The exhibit is on display in the Gallery from May 4 to July 1.
The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario. Our regular hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is by donation (some exceptions apply).
