At the January 31, 2019 Special Meeting of Council, Council received the Validation Report from McDonald Brothers Construction Inc. and Parkin Architects Limited on the renewal of the S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena and Community Centre. At its February 14, 2019, Special Meeting of Council, Council accepted the validation report and approved the project to proceed as recommended by the Arena Task Force.

Public Tender (Advance Procurement Notice) Now Available

The Township of Minden Hills has retained McDonald Brothers Construction Inc (MBC) to act as their Design Builder to redevelop the S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena & Community Centre, located at 55 Parkside Street in Minden. The project includes accessibility upgrades along with the reconstruction of the arena and a parking lot restoration.

The scope of work also encompasses the expansion of the recreational complex to include a multi-use gymnasium facility with a raised walking track designed to broaden the services offered to the citizens.

The tender process will begin in April and will be rolled out in multiple scope packages to expedite field activities.
