SUBJECT: Minden Hills Fire Department, Saved by the Beep, September 28 

The Minden Hills Fire Department is partnering with the Ontario Fire Marshal on September 28, 2024 for Ontario’s 2^nd Annual Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. 

The Minden Hills Firefighters and Community Safety Team will be out in the Township on September 28, 2024, for Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal’s 2^nd Annual Saved by the Beep program. Firefighters will be visiting door to door to educate the community on the importance of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in their homes, fire safety, home escape planning and being prepared for emergencies. 

The goal is to supply and install a smoke alarm in owner-occupied households not equipped with a working smoke alarm/carbon monoxide alarm. This is a FREE voluntary program available to all.
