SUBJECT: Township of Minden Hills Raising Every Child Matters Flag 

The Township of Minden Hills wishes to advise that Council will host a flag raising at the Municipal Office (7 Milne St., Minden) to raise the Every Child Matters Flag on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Council will be in session and plans to recess at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. 

As we raise the Every Child Matters flag, we encourage the community to continue to learn about the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on Monday, September 30, 2024 and is an opportunity for all of us to honour the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools. 

The federal and provincial governments have developed resources regarding the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
