Subject: Documentary Screening Event - Inconvenient Indian
To recognize the 2024 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, join the Minden Hills Cultural Centre and Haliburton County Public Library for a free documentary screening of "Inconvenient Indian" (2022). The documentary will have two screenings at the Cultural Centre on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The documentary is based on Thomas King’s book of the same name. It delves deep into the intricate history of Indigenous peoples in North America, highlighting the effects of colonization and their continuing fight for civil rights. No pre-registration is required. All ages are welcome.
