Subject: Documentary Screening Event: Voices Across the Water on August 8, 2024

Join the Minden Hills Cultural Centre and Haliburton County Public Library – Minden Branch for a screening of "Voices Across the Water" (2022) at the Cultural Centre on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. The documentary is provided courtesy of the National Film Board (NFB).

The feature documentary follows two master boat builders as they practise their art and find a way back to balance and healing. There is a moment during the construction of a canoe when its true form is revealed. A hull drops into place. The elegant arc of a bow cuts forth. A similar process sometimes occurs in life when a person finally discovers their true path.

The Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario, and is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
