Subject: The Agnes Jamieson Gallery presents a selection of artwork from our permanent collection
A selection of artwork from the permanent collection of the Agnes Jamieson Gallery is currently on display.
The exhibit includes the following new acquisitions:
- Nine oil paintings and one watercolour by André Lapine, received from the Estate of Valerie Jackson in 2023
- One watercolour by Owen Staples, received by donation from Sue Reid in 2023
Several watercolours and portraits by Lapine are showcased in gallery #2. Other artists featured in our permanent collection including E. A. Dalton, Herbert S. Palmer, Tom Stone, George Thomson, John Lennard and George Pratt, are also on display.
The Agnes Jamieson Gallery is a public gallery with year-round visual exhibitions of local and regional art. The Gallery is part of the Minden Hills Cultural Centre which also includes the Museum, Heritage Village and Nature’s Place Interpretive Centre. The Gallery is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, and is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is by donation.
