Release # 23-22
Subject: Minden Riverwalk and Public Boat Dock Closures
Due to high water levels in the Gull River, the following areas are Closed for use by the public:
- Minden Riverwalk pathway off Invergordon Avenue on the west side of the Gull River; and
- Public Boat Dock located off Water Street on the east side of the Gull River.
Residents should not attempt to use these areas and are advised to use caution and watch for signage and markers.
These closures and restrictions will remain in effect until water level conditions are deemed appropriate for reopening.
We are reminding the public to use caution around area lakes, rivers, creeks and other water sources such as ditches, as high-water levels and swift currents can create unstable conditions.
Avoid driving on any roadways that are underwater, as road conditions may be unstable and dangerous.
