SUBJECT: High Water Advisory

Please be advised that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Parks Canada are warning residents of potential rising water levels over the weekend.

Heavy rains combined with snow melt in areas North of Minden Hills could cause river and lake levels to rise suddenly.  

Township Staff have placed sandbags across the boat launch on Anson St as a precaution. The boat launch will be closed until further notice.

Residents are advised that no ice is safe ice, and that riverbanks and lake edges can be dangerous this time of year. Children and pets should be supervised at all times when near waterways.
