SUBJECT: Hazardous Waste Day June 3, 2023
Please by advised that the first Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day for Minden Hills is scheduled for June 3, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at S.G Nesbitt Memorial Arena.
All residents of Haliburton County are welcome to drop off hazardous waste material.
Residents will need to show a valid landfill card from any township in Haliburton County to access the drop off site.

SUBJECT: FIRE BAN LIFTED effective May 24, 2023, at 12:01 AM
The County Wide Fire Ban is being lifted effective May 24, 2023 at 12:01 AM. The fire rating is set at HIGH - Caution is advised, suitable open-air fires allowed.
All approved daytime burning and/or fireworks permits that were suspended during the Fire Ban, are active again.
A reminder that an approved Permit is required for daytime burning and/or use of fireworks....

SUBJECT: Sedgwick Bridge Paving
The Township of Minden Hills is advising residents of planned paving of Sedgwick Bridge.
The bridge will remain open to local traffic, however residents are advised to expect delays. Please plan ahead by allowing additional travel time.
Work is expected to commence the week of May 23, 2023 and will be completed in one day.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) have issued a Bulletin - Watershed Conditions Statement, Water Safety for May 18, 2023 for the Bracebridge, Minden, Parry Sound District including the Burnt and Gull River Watersheds.
WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – WATER SAFETY: indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected.
