Snowshoe Hikes – Wetlands in Winter

Hosted by Yours Outdoors. Take a guided tour of pristine parkland that is virtually untouched and little known to the public with Lois Foster. Bring your questions about trees, wildlife and nature and enjoy a serene walk along wetlands in the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. Bring your cameras to capture late winter landscapes and maybe some of the wildlife that inhabit the park. This snowshoe walk is 3 km long and a moderate challenge. Suitable for active adults, teens, children over 10 yr. of age. No dogs please. Bring a snacks and water

Leader Bio: Lois has been teaching outdoor education for many years.   She was involved with Katimavik, and worked on contract at Strathcona Park Lodge Outdoor Education Centre Trillium Lakelands District School Board, the Toronto District School Board, The Scarborough Outdoor Education School, Camp Muskoka, The Haliburton Forest, and most recently the Muskoka Homeschool Association. Lois loves life and loves sharing her love of the outdoors and healthy living with whoever will join her.
