Release #22-20

SUBJECT: Debit and Credit Now Accepted at the Scotch Line Landfill

The Scotch Line Landfill is now accepting payment by Debit or Credit (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

After a successful ‘soft launch’ in early June, debit and credit is now available full-time at the Scotch Line Landfill site. Visitors can now use cash, debit or credit when paying for chargeable items at the Scotch Line Landfill site. Receipts are sent through text or email or can be printed upon request.

Payment methods at all other Waste Disposal sites (Iron Mine, Ingoldsby and Little Gull) continue to be Cash Only.

The current process for charge accounts remains in effect until July 1, 2022. After that time they will be moved to a new electronic invoicing system. Information letters have been mailed to all approved charge account holders. For questions or more information about the charge account process, please contact the Public Works Department at 705-286-3144.

As a reminder, all users of the Township of Minden Hills waste disposal sites require a current landfill card. If you are without a landfill card or are using an outdated card, please contact the Public Works Department at 705-286-3144.
