Are you interested in finding more ways to divert your food waste from the landfill? You can now register for an opportunity to participate in the Township of Minden Hills FoodCycler Pilot Program.

On May 12, 2022, Minden Hills Council approved a FoodCycler pilot program to run in the summer of 2022 where 100 Minden Hills’ households will be eligible to purchase a countertop composter at a discounted price of $175 +HST.

Registration for the Pilot Program is online and can be done by visiting the Township’s website: www.mindenhills.ca/FoodCycler/ by June 1, 2022 at 11:00AM. After registration closes, the Township will randomly select 100 of the registered households to participate.

If selected to participate in the program, you will be agreeing to the following commitments:

  • Participation in the 12-week pilot program
  • Purchase a FoodCycler unit for $175 +HST
  • Completion of three (3) online surveys:
    • at the beginning of the program
    • at the end of the program
    • and 6 months after the program ends
  • Maintain and be fully responsible for the FoodCycler unit, during and after the pilot program.

Only one (1) FoodCycler unit will be provided per household and you must be a resident of Minden Hills to participate. Completing the registration form does not guarantee participation in the program. Only those chosen to participate in the 2022 FoodCycler Pilot Program will be contacted by the Township.
