Subject: COVID-19 UPDATE – Entry Requirements for Municipal Facilities

Following regulations set out by the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, the Township of Minden Hills is lifting more COVID-19 facility entry requirements as we begin to return to regular operations.

Effective March 1, residents and patrons entering a municipal facility will no longer have to show the enhanced proof of vaccination or complete the online COVID-19 screening.

To ensure public safety, mask requirements (unless you have a medical exemption) and handwashing protocols remain in place until further notice. Active screening will be eliminated upon entry. Passive screening will be in place by way of signage placed throughout our facilities reminding visitors to self-screen for any COVID-19 signs and symptoms. We ask that you assess your health and refrain from coming to a public facility if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. The Township of Minden Hills is excited to turn this corner with our community after a long two years. As always, your health is our top priority, and we will continue to follow all Provincial Public Health mandates and recommendations from the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR).

Information and updates on recreation services and programs will be communicated by media releases, on our municipal website and through our corporate social media channels, as it becomes available.

For questions about rentals or programming, please call the community centre at 705-286-1260 x 552. For more information, visit the Township of Minden Hills website at
