Subject:       Water Street Closure and Sunnybrook Bridge Lane Reduction

Please be advised of the following restrictions placed on Water Street as the Contractor (MTM-2 Contracting) mobilizes within the next week to complete the Rehabilitation of the Sunnybrook Bridge (Main Street Bridge).

Vehicle Access

  • Water Street will be closed to traffic with local access only to the Private parking lot located at #2 Water Street.
  • The Sunnybrook Bridge will be reduced to one (1) lane, while the Contractor performs concrete, traffic barrier, deck and asphalt repairs. The reduction will begin with the North East Lane (highlighted in green on the attached image). Once repairs have been completed on this portion of the bridge, the lane closure will be switched to the South West Lane.

Pedestrian Access

  • The sidewalk on the north side of Water Street and North East side of the bridge will be closed to pedestrian access. Access will change as work is completed and in conjunction with the lane reductions.

The Township requests that motorists utilize Bobcaygeon Road to Hwy#35 to access opposite ends of the Village of Minden to reduce vehicle congestion at the Newcastle Street and Bobcaygeon Road intersections.

This work is part of the 2020 Sunnybrook Rehabilitation project awarded to MTM-2 Contracting in the amount of $673,000.

Please watch for and obey all signage and barriers.
