Subject: Minden Hills Vaccination Clinic
Minden Hills is pleased to be working with the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPRDHU) to deliver vaccines to the residents of Haliburton County.
The new S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena and Community Centre is an ideal location to meet the needs of the Health Unit and the community. The Vaccination Clinic will initially be located in the S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena from April to July and will not have an impact on the regular seasonal use of the arena. When it is time to operationalize the Arena, the Vaccination Clinic will be relocated to the Community Centre Hall within the facility.
Haliburton County residents are reminded that appointments are booked based on the priorities outlined in the provincial vaccine distribution plan at: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/covid-19-vaccines-ontario and are based on the local availability of vaccines. Only eligible residents should contact the provincial booking system. To book an appointment please visit the Provincial booking system online at www.ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by telephone at 1-888-999-6488. Please visit the HKPRDHU website for further information on Vaccination Clinics.
Volunteers are essential to the running of the vaccination clinic at the S.G. Nesbitt Arena and Community Centre. The Minden Rotary Club has taken on the task of organizing the volunteers for the clinic. The number of volunteers required per shift is fifteen, with two shifts occurring each day. Please visit the Minden Rotary website at www.mindenrotary.ca for further information, volunteer job descriptions or to register as a volunteer.
