Summer Students

The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is seeking Summer Students (Heritage Interpreters) for the summer season, ending August 22, 2020.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student sincerely interested in Canadian history. Working directly with Curators, this position will be of superior benefit to anyone who is in museum studies. Duties include (but are not limited to): assisting with developing and delivering public programming, wearing time period clothing while demonstrating living history activities, public speaking while touring, working with the permanent collection, gardening and cleaning.

The rate of pay is $14.00 per hour. Students must meet Young Canada Works (YCW) Eligibility Requirements.

Minden Hills Fire Department

Deputy Fire Chief

The Fire Department is seeking a full time Deputy Fire Chief and Safety & Training, Fire Prevention Officer. This position is responsible for the overall administration of safety, fire prevention and training programs within the Fire Department and will assist with safety training courses for all Township of Minden Hills employees. The Deputy Fire Chief is responsible for the development and administration of the fire inspection and life safety programs and for providing public education activities. At the scene of emergencies, the Deputy Fire Chief is responsible and accountable for the department incident command system until relieved by another officer, if required. In the absence of the Fire Chief and as required, the Deputy Fire Chief will assume overall command of the Department.
