Building Inspector/Municipal Law Enforcement Officer

The Building, Bylaw, Planning Department is currently accepting resumes for a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector.

This position is responsible for the application and enforcement of the Ontario Building Code, provincial legislation, all Municipal by-laws and other applicable laws in order to ensure compliance.

This is a temporary full time position with the possibility of becoming permanent full time.

Hours will be based on a 35 hour work week, being 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is $25.69/hour as per the LOCAL 4286 Collective Agreement.  Earnings will be subject to Union dues.

Community Services Department

Operator - Casual Part Time

The Minden Hills Community Services Department is currently accepting resumes for a Casual Part Time Operator(s).

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the parks, cemeteries and facilities.

Hours will be based on a maximum of 24 hours/week and involve variable shifts. The rate of pay is $16.43/hour. This is a non union position for an anticipated 5 month period, ending on August 15, 2019.

Seasonal Operator

The Minden Hills Community Services Department is currently accepting resumes for a Seasonal Operator.

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the parks, cemeteries and facilities.

This is for a 27 week period, being May 1 to October 31, 2019. Hours are based on a 40 hour work week, being variable shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and Statutory Holidays as required. The rate of pay is $18.67/hour as per the LOCAL 4286 Collective Agreement. Earnings will be subject to Union dues.

Supervisor of Facilities and Parks

The Township is accepting resumes for a Supervisor of Facilities and Parks for the Community Services Department. This new position will provide supervision to the maintenance and operation of all municipal recreation facilities, parks and cemeteries within the Township. Duties will include developing, managing, training and scheduling o work with staff and equipment, assisting in the management of the facilities, including arena/community centres, parks, trails, sports fields, fairgrounds, skateboard facilities, beaches, boat launches and cemeteries as well as maintenance programs and capital projects.

This is a full time position, consisting of 35 hours/week, being variable shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and some Statutory holidays.

The salary range for this position is $62,498 - $73,546
