Supervisor, Facilities and Parks

The Township of Minden Hills is accepting resumes for a Supervisor, Facilities and Parks for the Community Services Department. This new position will provide supervision to the maintenance and operation of all municipal recreation facilities, parks and cemeteries within the Township of Minden Hills.  This includes developing, managing, training and scheduling of work with staff and equipment adhering to the Collective Agreement (CUPE), and the coordination of contractors and user groups.  The Supervisor will assist the Director of Community Services or designate(s) in the management of the facilities including arenas/community centres, parks including trails, sports fields, fairgrounds, skateboard facilities, beaches, boat launches and cemeteries, maintenance programs and capital projects.

Casual Program Instructor

We are currently looking for a Casual Program Instructor to join the team at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre. This position provides support to, and helps deliver a variety of after-school, March Break and Summer Day Camp youth workshops and programs at the Minden Hills Cultural Centre for the Township.  Work hours are based on a maximum of a 24-hour work week, including variable shifts. Additional hours per week, to a maximum of 48 hours every 2 weeks, may be required for special projects.

Casual Part Time Operator

We are currently looking for a Casual Part Time Operator to join the Community Services Department.  This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the community recreation facilities, parks and cemeteries.  Rate of Pay is $16.11/hour, based on a maximum of a 24 hour work week to a maximum of 48 hours every 2 weeks as well as for occasional special projects with hours being variable shifts.  This is a non union position not to exceed December 31, 2018.

Roads Department

Operations Manager

The Township of Minden Hills is accepting resumes for an Operations Manager for the Roads Department. This new position will lead the day-to-day operations of the Roads Department. Key area of responsibility include road and bridge maintenance, fleet management and winter control operations.  The Operations Manager plans, co-ordinates, monitors daily operations, and ensures supervisory and safety components are met. The Operations Manager is required to be on call and work unusual/extended hours as required.
