COVID-19 and Our Cemeteries
The Township of Minden Hills Cemeteries are open. Outdoor funerals and visitations are subject to restrictions set out by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) and the Province.
Those wishing to visit the cemeteries should limit gatherings to ten (10) people, and maintain a physical distance of two (2) metres from those not in the same household.
For outdoor funeral services at our cemeteries arranged through a Funeral Home, please contact the Funeral Home for information concerning current restrictions and regulations.
For private cremation services not conducted by a Funeral Home, a maximum of ten (10) attendees is permitted. This includes clergy, musicians and any others in attendance.
Persons attending funeral services must remain at least two (2) metres apart from each other and from persons conducting the funeral unless they are members of the same household.
There are four active cemeteries under the care and administration of Minden Hills, with burials dating back to the late 1800’s. If you would like to purchase Interment Rights or in need of other cemetery services, please contact the Cemetery Administration Office.
The Cemetery Administration office is located in the S.G Nesbitt Arena at 55 Parkside Street, Minden, in the Scouts Hall. The regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
