Minden Hills has so much to do, there is never a dull moment. The Minden Hills Cultural Centre has the Agnes Jamieson Gallery displaying works from past and present artists and special exhibits, and Nature’s Place that promotes education to the local wildlife. The museum and Pioneer Village expands to seven buildings, each offering an unique insight to our history.
For the outdoor lovers, Minden Hills is home to a number of public beaches and parks, including a scenic lookout point above Minden. There are also multiple trails throughout the township with a variety of difficulty levels to ensure that everyone can enjoy them. With space dedicated to baseball, extreme kayaking, and ATVs, there is plenty to do in the warmer months. Our winters are full of events as well, such as curling, skating, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling to name a few.
Throughout the year, the municipality hosts signature events unique to the area. Information about upcoming events can be viewed on our calendar.

About Communities in Bloom:
Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and the challenge of a national program, with focus on the enhancement of green spaces. The pride, sense of community and feeling of accomplishment generated through participation are visible in communities across Canada. For more information about Communities in Bloom, visit www.communitiesinbloom.ca
Communities in Bloom encourage involvement and action by citizens of all ages, the municipal government, local organizations and businesses. The program strives to improve the tidiness, appearance and visual appeal of Canada’s neighborhoods, parks, open spaces and streets through the imaginative use of flowers, plants and trees. A focus on environmental awareness and preservation of heritage and culture is also an integral part of its success resulting in an improved quality of life.
The Township of Minden Hills strives to preserve and protect the natural landscape for its many residents and visitors alike. The Memorial Tree & Bench Program is one way for relatives and friends to take part in this important cause. The gift of a tree is a lasting tribute that benefits the community and natural environment, and memorial benches offer a unique remembrance of a loved one in one of Minden Hills’ many beautiful settings.
The Program operates on a full cost-recovery basis while contributing to the “greening” of Minden Hills and increasing park and cemetery amenities. Please download the Memorial Tree and Bench Program Overview for complete details.
Any person wishing to donate a tree or bench to a Township park, cemetery or facility must complete a Memorial Tree and Bench Program Request Form.
