Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Minden Hills will be holding Public Meetings on Thursday, April 27, 2023, during its Regular Council Meeting.
The meeting will commence at 9:00 AM in the Council Chambers located at 7 Milne Street, Minden ON.

The Township would like to remind the public that Fire Season is April 1st to October 31st each year. During this period, a Burn Permit is required for daytime burning between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and a Fireworks Permit is required for the use or discharge of Fireworks.

Please be advised that tertiary sand filter bypass at the Minden Wastewater Treatment Plant has ended.
Residents are reminded that any water taken from a surface water source (such as a lake or river) must always be adequately treated to remove pathogens prior to using as a potable water source.

Please be advised that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Parks Canada are warning residents of potential rising water levels over the weekend.
Heavy rains combined with snow melt in areas North of Minden Hills could cause river and lake levels to rise suddenly. Township Staff have placed sandbags across the boat launch on Anson St as a precaution. The boat launch will be closed...
MNRF Water Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook April 14, 2023

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) have issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook for April 14, 2023 for the Bracebridge, Minden, Parry Sound District including the Burnt River Watershed and Gull River Watershed.
A Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook gives early notice of the potential for flooding based on weather forecasts calling for heavy rain, snow melt, high winds or other conditions.
