Canada DayCanada 150

Saturday July 1st
This year marks Canada’s 150th birthday, which makes it more of a reason to show your national pride by coming out to Minden Hills’ annual Canada Day Celebration held on July 1st.. There are attractions for everyone to enjoy, including a new 1.5km family run!
Don’t forget the fireworks! At dusk, the Minden Hills Fire Department put on a spectacular fireworks show at the Minden Fairgrounds. Entry is by donation.
All events and attractions occur from Main Street up to the Cultural Centre and are FREE, unless otherwise specified.

Artisan Marketartisan market icon

June 24th – September 2nd 2017
A weekly market featuring the talent of local potters, jewelers, photographers, wood workers and more. Market days run from 10:00am -2:00pm on Saturdays, and is located behind the Township Administration office on Milne Street (across from the farmers market).

Doors Open Minden HillsDoors Open2017

Saturday September 16th and Sunday September 17th
Select residents and businesses in Minden Hills will “open their doors” to the community and visitors alike, to showcase this Township’s most intriguing and charming heritage sites. Admission is free to attend.

Family Halloween Party

Friday, October 27th
An annual event that is held at the Community Centre where there will be games, prizes for best individual and family costumes, refreshments and of course music so you can show off your best dance moves.
Admission is by donation and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

An evening of food, music and holiday cheer as the town of Minden lights up the main street for the season

Santa Claus Parade

A great way to gather up some of the Christmas spirit during this annual event where kids can meet Santa and get a free hot chocolate while they wait!

Christmas Artisan Market

Sunday November 26th 2017
Start your holiday shopping by purchasing locally made items such as pottery, wood products, jewelry, quilts, preserves and so much more. Located in the S.G Nesbitt Community Centre, the market runs from 11:00am-4:00pm. Admission is free to the public.

Family New Year’s Eve

December 31st
Grab your skates, toboggans and family and bring them to this free event which runs from 6pm-8pm at the S.G Nesbitt Memorial Arena!
