The next regular municipal and school board trustee election will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Eligible Electors in the Township of Minden Hills have the option to vote in the 2018 Municipal/School Board Election by Telephone, Internet or Traditional Paper Ballot.

The Nomination Period is now from May 1, 2018 to July 27, 2018. Nomination papers will be available on the Township’s website and at the Township Administration Office starting on May 1, 2018.
The deadline for candidates to submit their Nomination Papers is Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

A new requirement under the Municipal Elections Act requires anyone wishing to run for office as a member of Council must submit signatures of 25 eligible voters supporting their nomination to run for office. The requirement to submit 25 signatures does not apply to candidates running for school board trustee positions.

If you are interested in running as a candidate in the Municipal Election, it is recommended you review the Ministry of Municipal Affairs’ Candidates Guide which is scheduled to be completed and posted on the Ministry’s website by April 1, 2018.
